unwanted things lovable.

it's been a good day of being reminded of that.

poor man's gard{en}

ways to feel good about your

gardening self 

with a little bit of water, some proper soil &

sun you can grow these. even with an

amateur green thumb:

chives

mint

(it will seriously take over your 

yard if you don't plant it in it's own

pot or planting bed)

thyme

oregano

rosemary

sage

lavender

(this plant LOVES the sunshine. loves it)

succulents

these eight types of plants have been

the easiest for us to grow & maintain.

we started them at seed, but you can buy

them mature and transplant them to your own

pot or planting bed. it's honestly that simple.

although,

it is helpful to have an 

organic pesticide handy for little

bugs that like to eat your herbs.

if you are thinking about starting your

own herb garden, or simple garden, 

you should start planting in the next few weeks.

spring is the best time for most plants

(although california does have pretty great weather

for us amateur gardeners)

mr. amazing and i transplanted 

our veggies 

(tomatoes, bell peppers 

& jalapenos, so far)

this past friday.

we are looking forward to 

planting some other kinds of

fruit and veggies in the next month or

so. in addition to painting the outside of the

house and landscaping the front.

i know. i know.

well this week definitely got away from me.

this is my first post of the week, and 

it is already thursday. ridiculous.

mr. amazing and i enjoyed our weekend in san

diego & easter with the family. 

this weekend, we are going down to mexico to 

play with the beautiful children at the

orphanage we frequently visit.

so excited. 

i'm also excited about the tacos we get

on our way down.

seriously, the absolute BEST tacos. ever.

i secretly saved my calories this week 

so i can eat as many as humanly possible

(we are going twice. once on saturday &

then again on sunday)

hello tuesday

and 

hello friends!

i hope your weekend was
beautiful & restful.

this past sunday

was disregard{en}'s 

third

time selling at

the melrose trading post


though it was a bit slower 
(thanks coachella)
than normal, we still
enjoyed basking in the sun,
drinking horchata
and meeting new people.

obviously,

 we didn't find much time to garden

but, out mobile garden

was pretty gorgeous.
